New comers named in national men's and women's hockey squads

After an impressive schoolgirls tournament that saw Mona lifting the ISSA title, Imauny Linton has earned a maiden senior team call-up as the Jamaica Hockey Federation has named its 18 member women's squad for the upcoming Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Games qualifiers.

The 16 year old Linton is among three players looking to make their senior team debut during the tournament which runs from November 5-12 at the Mona Hockey Field.

Jonel Witter and Antonette Baxter are the other newcomers to the squad which is completed by Chakira Airey, Shareeka Elliott, Kameisha Erskine, Ombretta Gordon, Sauwana Gordon, Kamille Griffiths, Krystal Holgate, Kareme Hudson, Trudy-Ann Knight, Lori-Ann McIntosh, Ebony McLean, Demi Nicholson, Pikeshia Powell, Dionne Smallhorne and Shana-Kay Tullonge. The team will be vying for a spot at the August 2018 CAC Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

Meanwhile, the Raiders United pair or Shiaeine Blake and Rahsaan Blake and Jamaica Defence Force Onique Salmon and Kemar Gobern are first-time call ups to the men's 18 member squad. 

The squad is completed by Nicholas Beach, Charles Burton, Brandon Clarke, Kardiff Davidson, Phillip Dawson, Andre Gardener, Giovanne Green, Oshane Haseley, Duvaughn Henlon, Xavier Hendricks, Jonte` Johnson, George McGlashen, Kemar Mitchell and Kishawn White.
