Paralympic athletes drug tested in France

By Jeremain Brown

LYON, FRANCE-  Jamaica's latest doping problems seems to be having a ripple effect with the country's Paralympians coming in for special attention from the International Paralympic Committee doping officials in Lyon France at the world athletics championships.

Veteran throwers, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Alphanso Cunningham, 2006 Commonwealth games champion Tanto Campbell,  Sylvia Grant  - who is another veteran and and sprinters Shane Hudson and David Bascoe were all drug tested on Thursday.

This comes a day before the nine day meet begins. But while the drug testing is not new to the athletes, the timing and number of them tested came as a surprise to head coach Neville Sinclair.
