World 100 metre champion Oblique Seville is looking forward to the 2026 season, after recently undergoing surgery on a toe that caused him discomfort for a number of years.
Seville who claimed his maiden global title at the 2025 World Athletics Championship in September, says he is almost fully recovered from the surgery. Seville is now back in training, and says he is not feeling any effects of the surgery.
As indicated by his coach Glen Mills, Seville also confirmed that he will be taking part in the 200 metres more often in the new season. Seville has a personal best of 9.77 seconds for the 100 metres and 20.17 over 200 metres done in 2024.
