U21 coach says some squad members can make transition to senior team

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Spencer Darlington

National Under-21 coach Annette Daley believes many of the players who represented Jamaica at the recent Netball Youth World Cup in Gibralter have a bright future in the sport.

Daley says the overall effort in Gibralter should encourage many of the girls to continue in the sport. However, Daley has listed development of the various age group teams and adequate funding among the areas that must be given added attention going forward.

Daley added that a few of the players are very capable of making the transition to the senior Sunshine girls set-up.

Jamaica finished 5th among the 20 teams at the recent Netball Youth World Cup.
