The Jamaican pairs need to finish among the top six of the 12 teams from the Caribbean and Central America seeking spots in Brazil, to continue to the final round in June.
Kai Wright, Sashalee Wallen and Alicia Malcolm who left the island on Wednesday, will be joined in Miami by Danielle Perry.
Wright says this leg of the competition demands that they be more clinical than in the previous rounds. In preparing for this round, the Jamaicans participated in a regional tournament staged in the Dominican Republic and finished fifth behind teams from Cuba, the United States and Canada.
