1983 400m world champion Bertland Cameron has officially ended his two year association with the racers track club, home to the likes of olympics stars Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake.
Cameron who was the senior 400m coach at racers says he has decided to become an independent quarter-mile coach.
Cameron who was Jamaica’s 400m coach at the recent London Olympics has local newspaper reports that his departure was influenced by controversial inclusion of the Jermaine Gonzalez in the heats of the men's mile relay at the games.
The former St Jago and Wolmers boys coach also explained that his decision has received the blessingof racers head coach glen mills.
Cameron coached the likes of Gonzalez, sprinter Marvin Anderson and 400m hurdler Nickiesha Wilson while at the racers club.
