Eric Ronald Holder Jr. charged with first-degree murder in Nipsey Hussle case

Eric Ronald Holder Jr. has been found guilty of the first-degree murder of Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle.

The Los Angeles County jury also found him guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter for two other men who were hit by gunfire at the scene.

The 33-year-old rapper was shot outside of his Marathon Clothing Store in South LA on March 31, 2019.

Holder's attorney did not deny that he was the shooter but urged jurors to find him guilty of the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter.

He faces a maximum of life in prison.

A former gang member, Hussle was an advocate against gun violence and had been scheduled to meet with Los Angeles law enforcement to discuss programs to help stop gang violence before his untimely death.
